At Castle Ladyhawke, we understand that pets are family too! Whether you have one or numerous furry, scaled, or feathered friends, we welcome you to include them in your big day with us. Looking for a creative way to give them a bit of the spotlight? Here are five of our favorite ideas as inspiration.

Pet as the Ring Bearer

Train your pet to play the role of the ring bearer. Attach a small pouch or ribbon to their collar to hold the rings securely, then have a trusted friend or family member walk them down the aisle. If your pet is well-behaved and comfortable with the crowd, you may even allow them to walk on their own!

Pet-Themed Decor and Wedding Favors

Incorporate pet-themed décor throughout the Castle and give your guests memorable wedding favors that celebrate your love for your furry, scaled, or feathered friend(s). Consider using paw-print motifs, custom pet portraits, or pet-inspired centerpieces. You could also incorporate your pet’s name or image into table numbers/place cards, offer creative pet-inspired cocktails, or display your pet as your cake topper! Your wedding favors could be as simple as personalized dog or cat-shaped cookies, or as thoughtful as a donation to an animal charity on behalf of your guests.

Wedding Stationery

Incorporate your pet’s image or silhouette into your wedding stationery, such as save-the-date cards, invitations, or custom stamps. This adds a personal touch and showcases your beloved pet as an integral part of your celebration.

Pet Wedding Attire

Dress up your pet in a special wedding outfit or accessory, such as a dapper tuxedo or a beautiful floral collar/bowtie. Then, showcase how photogenic they are by including them in your wedding preparation and post-ceremony photos!

Photos with Animals

Don’t have a pet but want to include animals in your big day? Our couples have surprised their guests with other animals, such as llamas, during cocktail hour! This provides an excellent photo opportunity for guests as they mingle after the ceremony.

Remember to prioritize the comfort and well-being of your pet throughout the wedding. Consider their temperament, stress levels, and any potential challenges they may face in a crowded and unfamiliar environment. Assign a trusted person to take care of your pet during the ceremony and reception, ensuring they have breaks, food/water, and a quiet space as necessary. Also, be sure to consult with Castle Ladyhawke and your wedding planner to make sure all arrangements comply with the venue’s pet policies and guidelines.
