The Main Event Lawn

Uses: Ceremonies, Outdoor Receptions
Details: Largest event space; Includes use of the Arbor; May be tented.

The Mountain View Lawn

Capacity: Up to 125
Uses: Ceremonies, Outdoor Receptions
Details: Exceptional views; Second-largest outdoor venue; Can be tented.

The Great Hall

Capacity: Up to 100
Uses: Ceremonies, Receptions (for up to 75), Dancing
Details: Largest indoor events space; Grand fireplace; Epic interior; Great acoustics; Balcony access

The Deck

Capacity: Up to 100
Uses: Ceremonies, Receptions (up to 75), Dancing
Details: Exceptional views; Adjacent to the Turret (views and covered area); Can be tented

The Carriage House

Capacity: Up to 75
Uses: Micro-weddings, Elopements, Receptions (up to 50), Dancing

Our primary catering partner* is world-class and Michelin-star trained chef, Johannes Klapdohr. He crafts seasonal menus suited to a variety of tastes using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients to create a feast for the senses. Every aspect of Chef Johannes’s catering will meet or exceed your expectations. In addition, many dishes can be adapted to a variety of dietary requirements and preferences, providing needed flexibility. Please contact us for details.

The region also sports a number of local/craft breweries like Innovation, Balsam, Nantahala and Boojum, and our partner vendor, The Wine Bar and Cellar, has a New York trained sommelier available to consult in an outstanding selection of wines for your special day.

Stay at the Castle

Overnight accommodations in the Castle’s newly renovated Honeymoon Suite with sumptuous furnishings, a fireplace, garden tub en suite bathroom, and stunning views are available for the wedding couple.

If you prefer a full resort experience, mountaintop honeymoon accommodations at Bear Lake Reserve are available in a luxuriously modern 5-star mountain lodge home with extraordinary views. This home is not available for general rental, but is exclusively available to Castle Ladyhawke celebrants.

Guest Lodging

Turn your magical moment into a weekend of fun at nearby Bear Lake Reserve, just 5 minutes from the Castle. Bear Lake Reserve offers both rustically elegant lodgings and the full mountain lake resort experience including golf, water sports, Pickleball and tennis, hiking, seasonal lifestyle activities, a sumptuous Lake Club with fine and casual dining, pools, hot tubs, fitness center, shopping, full bar, and more.

Guest Lodging

Turn your magical moment into a weekend of fun at nearby Bear Lake Reserve, just 5 minutes from the Castle. Bear Lake Reserve offers both rustically elegant lodgings and the full mountain lake resort experience including golf, water sports, Pickleball and tennis, hiking, seasonal lifestyle activities, a sumptuous Lake Club with fine and casual dining, pools, hot tubs, fitness center, shopping, full bar, and more.

Event Transport

A variety of transportation options are available for you and any wedding party members enjoying accommodations at Bear Lake Reserve, including a 14-seater, Mercedes Sprinter Van, Range Rover, and more.

Due to the location and layout of the Castle grounds and to promote the safety and convenience for you and your guests, Valet Parking is a required amenity for Full-Day and Micro-Weddings. It is an available upgrade for Elopements if desired. There is a large parking lot on-property at the Castle that can readily accommodate parties with guests lists up to the full 140-person capacity.

From Atlanta
  • Take I-85 North to I-985 North, merge with U.S. 23/441.
  • Travel north through Franklin and into Dillsboro, NC.
  • Turn right onto Business U.S. 23 (Main Street).
  • Follow through downtown Dillsboro and Sylva.
  • Main Street becomes NC 107 South.
  • Follow NC 107 along the Tuckasegee River for 12 miles.
  • Turn left onto Shook Cove Road.
  • Continue on Shook Cove Road for approximately 1.5 miles.
  • Look for the Castle Ladyhawke sign on the right
From Asheville/NC Piedmont
  • Take I-240 West to I-40 West (20 miles).
  • Take Exit 27 – Hwy 10/23/74 to Sylva (21 miles).
  • Take Exit 85 East, follow ramp to Hwy 107.
  • Turn left onto 107 South.
  • Follow NC 107 along the Tuckasegee River for 12 miles.
  • Just past the junction of SR-281 in Tuckasegee, turn left on Shook Cove Road.
  • Continue on Shook Cove Road for approximately 1.5 miles.
  • Look for the Castle Ladyhawke sign on the right.
From Florida
  • Take I-75 North toward Atlanta.
  • I-75 merges with I-85 South of  Atlanta.
  • Take I-85 North to I-985 North, merge with U.S. 23/441.
  • Travel north through Franklin and into Dillsboro, NC.
  • Turn right onto Business U.S. 23 (Main Street).
  • Follow through downtown Dillsboro and Sylva.

  • Turn left onto NC-107 S/E Main St
